Time DOES pass in some bigger gaps, but it isn't concretely discussed if these characters hang out or get to know each other in these missing gaps of time which makes the "I love you's" seem SUPER premature.

And I mean literally like having hung out/met like 2-3 times. For the first half of the book everything seems to be moving at a great pace, getting to know Tamsin and the men you know will be hers eventually, and then it seems like suddenly everyone is IN LOVE with each other when they have BARELY spent any time together. Now two plot elements bugged me more than the technical stuff. That was for the most part ignorable and I'm sure will be fixed in time. Another thing was a few proofreading errors, missing periods, missing words and some slight sentence confusion caused by missing words.

I loved her three protectors, who all seemed so unique from each other, and who's backstory we all got to see, which is awesome because I find that's something that can be lacking in RH.Ī few things of note that key this from a 5 stars for me: there were a few instances where the point of view became muddled, like instead of third person limited, it was third person omniscient, which was at least mostly ignorable. I loved the magical world that was being weaved and I was so excited to learn more about it and how it all worked. I loved getting to know Tamsin, her men and her powers. ANYTHING but page stuffing.īesides being extremely disappointed by that fact, I did enjoy the story quite a lot. Give us good blurbs so I want to go read those other stories while I wait for book 2 to release. I get when an author has other work to showcase, I really do, but leave that for the last 5-10% and then include links for other places to read it. If my rating reflected how annoyed I am by this it'd be a 2 or a 3 stars, because page stuffing is NOT cool. The rest of it looks to be stories in the same world, but NOT the same book. I'll say that again 57% on the kindle app. I just finished reading Turn on the Night at 57% through.
